Airport Transfers to the 3 Valley Ski Resort
There are so many fabulous places to stay in the Three Valleys that it can be mind boggling to choose which one to visit! Firstly a little bit on THE THREE VALLEYS itself!
It is the largest linked skiing domain in the world located in the midst of the French Alps with the most amazing panoramic views.
Statistics: 600km of downhill pisted runs, 120 km of cross country ski tracks, 183 Ski lifts, 22 piste bashers and over 470 snow cannons.
To top it all off the 3 valleys also has the best artificial snow making facilities in the world! What more could you ask for?
The immaculately groomed pisted slopes have a great range of runs for beginners, intermediates and expert skiers, including lots of off-piste adventures and snowparks for snowboarders.
Due to the range of resorts there is something for everyone. Quiet or buzzing, family or romance, glitzy or cool, happening après ski bars or mellow out in a café, and the best thing is that it is all truly majestic.
COURCHEVEL Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
There are 4 separate resorts in Courchevel that are separated by altitude levels and therefore named as such. All of which provide a fantastic range of accommodation and facilities that can be expected from this well-heeled ski destination. Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz)–a traditional village, Courchevel 1550 – popular with families, Courchevel 1650 – snowboarder favourite and the well known Courchevel 1850, that covers it all.
LA TANIA Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
1400m. La Tania is a beautiful little resort and situated in the heart of the Three Valleys so a great base for exploring. It is a big favourite with both families and friends looking for a welcoming and lively holiday. It is probably the friendliest place in the French Alps. La Tania has 38 new snow cannons so skiing is accessible from the start of the season to the very last day!
MERIBEL Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
Meribel is a sophisticated resort oozing charm with an excellent variety of services making it a very popular destination for everyone. It is made up of a number of little hamlets and villages located between 1100 and 1700m. It has 5 districts - Méribel centre, Altitude 1600, Belvédère, Rond Point and Altiport. The resort holds the world record for high capacity gondola lifts, which means that it can probably transport more skiers uphill faster than any other resort.
MERIBEL VILLAGE Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
Meribel Village is a compact little village at 1400m and linked to Meribel. It’s quiet atmosphere attracts families and holidaymakers looking for a more peaceful alpine holiday. The village is approximately 2km from Meribel.
LES ALLUES Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
At 1100m Les Allues is also one of the linked resorts to Meribel. It is a very traditional and charming village. A great location on the 3 valleys map as it is only 15 minutes from Meribel by bus and linked to the Chaudanne ski area in Meribel. Les Allues is the most endearing place to visit and not to be missed!
MOTTARET Transfer time: Approx 2:15hrs
Mottaret is an independent resort approx 3km from Meribel. At 1700m it is considered one of the higher winter ski destinations and a great location with direct access to Meribel Valley, Val Thorens and to any of the Courchevel resorts. The resort consists of two main areas: Le Laitelet and Le Chatelet.
VAL THORENS Transfer time: Approx 2:45hrs
Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe (2300 m) with 6 glaciers overlooking the site. The high altitude ensures exceptional snow conditions, with long hours of sunshine and it has great skiing for all grades. The resort feel is informal and relaxed with a good choice of restaurants, bars and clubs. There is also no shortage of facilities for non-skiers.
LES MENUIRES Transfer time: Approx 2:30hrs
At 1850m Les Menuires is famous for the large open spaces it has to offer within the 3 Vallées. The resort has something to please everyone, from beginners to advanced slopes. It is friendly and welcoming destination. Everything has been designed to make skiers’ life easier including the 8 person gondola that whisks you up and away!
ST MARTIN DE BELLEVILLE Transfer time: Approx 2hrs
At the same height as Meribel, St Martin de Belleville is a picturesque village with an authentic savoyarde feel. Very traditional to look out with lots of character but still provides an excellent quality of all the services you would be looking for from Michelin starred restaurants to a great mountain spa.
